Odisha’s ‘Catch the Rain’ Efforts Receive Centre’s Praise
In a significant recognition of Odisha’s efforts towards water conservation, the Ministry of Jal Shakti on Saturday lauded the state for successfully completing 905 rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge structures under the Catch the Rain 2026 campaign. Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting Structures: A Key Component
A total of 849 rooftop rainwater harvesting structures have been installed in Odisha, with 21 in government buildings and 828 in private buildings. These structures are designed to collect and store rainwater, reducing the pressure on groundwater resources.
