Sushant Das, a resident of Ichhapur village under Kalinga panchayat in Hatadihi block, was taken into custody by the police on Sunday. The arrest was made just 48 hours after a complaint was lodged against him at the Nandipada police station.

According to the police, Sushant was traced to his village using technical surveillance. A mobile phone allegedly used in the offence was seized by the police. The investigation revealed that Sushant had uploaded a video containing abusive remarks against the Chief Minister through his Facebook account, ‘Das Kumar Das Sushant.’
