Srinagar, August 3: The JK SEHAT App, a brainchild of the Health & Medical Education Department, government of Jammu and Kashmir, has emerged as a game-changer in the realm of digital healthcare. This innovative app has successfully brought together multiple health services under one roof, making it a one-stop solution for citizens of the Union Territory.
Accessible, Transparent, and Technology-Enabled Healthcare
The JK SEHAT App is a testament to the government’s commitment to providing accessible, transparent, and technology-enabled healthcare services. By integrating key digital health services, the app complements the objectives of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), ensuring that citizens have seamless access to healthcare facilities.
A Comprehensive Range of Digital Healthcare Services
The JK SEHAT App offers a wide array of digital healthcare services, including online appointment booking, digital OPD tokens, tele-consultation, home healthcare services, medicine orders, and digital health records. Citizens can also access blood bank information, ambulance services, health helpline, AI chatbot, health insurance information, and more. Dedicated facilities for medical students are also available on the app, making it a comprehensive digital health platform for the citizens and healthcare stakeholders of Jammu and Kashmir.
Citizen-Centric Services
The app has been designed to cater to the healthcare needs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, facilitating easy access to healthcare services. With over 15.60 lakh citizens registered on the platform, the app has seen significant adoption. The ABDM-enabled Scan & Share service has generated over 12.37 lakh digital-online OPD tokens, indicating a growing reliance on the app for hassle-free OPD registration.
Healthcare Professionals on Board
A total of 3,077 healthcare professionals are registered on the app, providing Home Healthcare and Tele-Consultation services. These professionals have already delivered 4,805 services, demonstrating the app’s potential in improving healthcare delivery.
Pharmacy Orders and Delivery
The app has successfully facilitated over 4,000 pharmacy orders, with all orders being delivered to citizens. This highlights the government’s focus on citizen-centric healthcare delivery.
Enhancing Adoption and Utilization
The government of Jammu and Kashmir is committed to enhancing the adoption and utilization of the JK SEHAT App. Under the guidance of the Health & Medical Education Department, coordinated efforts are being undertaken by various stakeholders, including the National Health Mission (NHM), Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) J&K, Directorate of Health Services Jammu and Kashmir, and State Controller Drugs, J&K.
