The advisory, which will be in effect from 4 am to 10 am on August 15, outlines several road closures, diversions, and vehicle movement regulations that commuters need to be aware of.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Road Closures and Diversions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several major roads in and around the Red Fort area will be closed to general traffic during the restricted period. These roads include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Netaji Subhash Marg from Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail Chowk<\/li>\n<li>Lothian Road from GPO Delhi to Chatta Rail Chowk<\/li>\n<li>S.P. Mukherjee Marg from H.C. Sen Marg to Yamuna Bazar Chowk<\/li>\n<li>Chandni Chowk Road from Fountain Chowk to Red Fort<\/li>\n<li>Nishad Raj Marg from Ring Road to Netaji Subhash Marg<\/li>\n<li>Esplanade Road and Link Road towards Netaji Subhash Marg<\/li>\n<li>Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT Kashmere Gate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Alternative Routes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To avoid congestion and ensure smooth traffic movement, the Delhi Traffic Police has suggested alternative routes for commuters. For north-south movement, the suggested route is:<\/p>\n<p>Aurobindo Marg \u2192 Safdarjung Road \u2192 Kamal Ataturk Marg \u2192 Kautilya Marg \u2192 S.P. Marg \u2192 11 Murti \u2192 Mother Teresa Crescent \u2192 Park Street \u2192 Mandir Marg \u2192 Panchkuian Road \u2192 Rani Jhansi Road<\/p>\n<p>For east-west movement, the suggested route is:<\/p>\n<p>NH-24\/NH-9 \u2192 Nizamuddin Khatta \u2192 Barapulla Road \u2192 Ring Road<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, commuters can take DND \u2192 Barapulla Road\/Ring Road.<\/p>\n<p>For travel from Trans-Yamuna to North Delhi, the suggested route is:<\/p>\n<p>Pusta Road \u2192 GT Road \u2192 Yudhister Setu \u2192 ISBT Kashmere Gate<\/p>\n<p><strong>Goods Vehicles and Interstate Buses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Goods vehicles will not be permitted between Nizamuddin Khatta and Wazirabad Bridge from midnight on August 14 until 11 am on August 15. Interstate buses will also not be allowed to ply between Maharana Pratap ISBT and Sarai Kale Khan ISBT during this period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DTC Services and City Buses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>City buses and DTC services will be diverted from affected corridors in accordance with the traffic plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips for Commuters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance, leave early, and allow extra travel time. Commuters have also been advised to follow traffic signs, Variable Message Sign (VMS) displays, and directions from traffic police personnel.
