Former UK Minister Stewart pointed out that the agreement is not a new development, but rather a culmination of long-standing military cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Pakistani pilots have trained in Saudi Arabia, and Pakistani military missions have operated on the ground in the kingdom. However, the new arrangement is different due to the growing economic and military strength of Saudi Arabia and Turkey.<\/p>\n
