Congress government fabricating false cases against BJP leaders: Rakesh Jamwal

BJP Leaders Accuse Congress Government of Fabricating False Cases

In a scathing attack on the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, BJP state spokesperson and Sundernagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal alleged that the ruling party is fabricating false cases against BJP leaders in the state. Speaking at a press conference at the BJP office in Una, Jamwal warned that the Congress government would face serious political repercussions for its actions.

Misuse of Vigilance Department: A Tool for Political Vendetta

Jamwal claimed that the State Vigilance Department is being misused to pursue political vendetta against BJP leaders. He alleged that false and frivolous cases had been registered against several BJP leaders, including state BJP chief Rajiv Bindal, and MLAs Sukh Ram Chaudhary and Sudhir Sharma. “This is a clear case of misuse of power and an attempt to silence the Opposition,” Jamwal said.

Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau: A Tool for Harassment

The BJP MLA further claimed that the Congress government has kept the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (V&ACB) outside the purview of the Right to Information (RTI) Act to prevent people from seeking information about complaints. He alleged that the V&ACB has become a tool in the hands of the state government to harass political opponents. “We will fully cooperate with the investigations, but any undue harassment will invite a strong response from the Opposition,” Jamwal said.

Congress Leadership Worried After Poor Performance

Jamwal also claimed that the Congress leadership in the state is worried after its poor performance in the Panchayati Raj and Urban Bodies elections. He added that the BJP’s proposed ‘charge sheet’ against the Congress government has further increased pressure on its leaders. “The BJP’s Charge Sheet Committee is collecting information on the acts of omission and commission by the state government and will raise the matter both inside and outside the Assembly,” Jamwal said.

BJP’s Charge Sheet Committee: A Move to Expose Congress Misgovernance

The BJP’s Charge Sheet Committee is a move to expose the misgovernance of the Congress government in the state. The committee is collecting information on the various acts of omission and commission by the state government, including corruption, mismanagement of public funds, and misuse of power. “We will present a comprehensive report on the misgovernance of the Congress government and will raise the matter both inside and outside the Assembly,” Jamwal said.

BJP Leaders Will Not be Silenced

Jamwal made it clear that BJP leaders will not be silenced by the Congress government’s attempts to harass them. “We will continue to raise our voice against the misgovernance of the Congress government and will not be intimidated by their attempts to silence us,” he said. The BJP MLA’s statement has sparked a fresh controversy in the state, with the Congress government accusing the BJP of trying to destabilize the government.
