The other dogs then joined in, inflicting severe injuries on the minor.

The girl’s father, Girdhar Mishra, has spoken out about the incident, urging the authorities to take immediate action to prevent such tragedies. “The menace of stray dogs has become a serious concern in our locality,” he said. “We need the authorities to take concrete steps to address this issue before it’s too late.”

Just days before the Chikhli incident, a five-year-old girl was involved in a separate accident in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Sector 12 area. The CCTV footage of the incident has since surfaced, with police investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A Case of Negligence?
The driver of the car has been booked under Sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act. The police are still investigating the incident, but many are questioning whether the driver’s actions were negligent.
