Rubio highlighted the significant shift in the political landscape across Latin America, with the majority of countries in the Western Hemisphere now led by pro-American leaders and governments. “For the first time in 15-20 years, the overwhelming majority of the countries in the Western Hemisphere are now led by pro-American leaders and pro-American governments,” he said. This, he argued, is an extraordinary achievement that reflects the administration’s commitment to building strong relationships with its regional partners.

Rubio praised the US response to the recent earthquake in Venezuela, describing it as one of the fastest, most effective humanitarian responses in recent history. American personnel were deployed within 36 hours to provide critical assistance, and Rubio credited President Trump for directing the operation.
