In a significant move to strengthen cricket infrastructure in Telangana, the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has appointed former secretary T. Sheshnarayan as the chairman of its District Cricket Infrastructure Development Committee (DCIDC). This announcement was made in a press release issued by HCA secretary M. Jeevan Reddy on Monday night.
A Team of Experts at the Helm
The DCIDC is comprised of a team of seasoned cricket administrators, including HCA member Ramakrishna Udupa, Mahbubnagar District representative M. Rajashekar, Khammam District representative C. Venkat Rao, and Nizamabad District representative M. Venkat Reddy. This diverse group of experts is well-equipped to tackle the challenges of developing cricket infrastructure in the districts of Telangana.
A Clear Objective
The DCIDC has been constituted with a clear objective in mind: to strengthen cricket infrastructure, administration, and promote the systematic development of the game across the districts of Telangana. This ambitious goal is in line with the vision of the Single Member Committee headed by Hon’ble Justice P. Naveen Rao (Retd.), which aims to promote transparent, inclusive, and sustainable growth of cricket throughout the state.
Sheshnarayan’s Leadership
T. Sheshnarayan’s appointment as chairman of the DCIDC is seen as a significant move by the HCA. With his extensive experience in cricket administration, Sheshnarayan is well-positioned to provide valuable leadership in advancing district-level cricket infrastructure development. His expertise will be instrumental in driving the DCIDC’s efforts to improve cricket infrastructure and enhance coordination with district cricket stakeholders.
Focus on Cricket Infrastructure
The DCIDC will focus on improving cricket infrastructure, including grounds, pitches, and practice facilities. To ensure that all development initiatives are aligned with the technical and operational standards of the HCA, the committee will consult with and seek suggestions and guidance from the Cricket Operations Committee (COC). This collaborative approach will help to promote the overall development of cricket across the districts.
A Pivotal Role in Cricket Development
The HCA is confident that the DCIDC will play a pivotal role in expanding opportunities for aspiring cricketers and contributing to the overall development of cricket in Telangana. With Sheshnarayan at the helm, the committee is well-positioned to drive the growth of cricket in the state and create a brighter future for the sport.
As the DCIDC gets to work, cricket enthusiasts across Telangana will be watching with bated breath to see the impact of this new initiative. With a clear objective, a team of experts, and a leader with extensive experience, the DCIDC is poised to make a significant difference in the world of cricket in Telangana.
