Burglars Strike in Lucknow: FIR Registered Against Unidentified Miscreants
Daylight Heist in Rajajipuram Leaves Residents Shocked
Lucknow, August 3, 2024 – In a brazen daylight burglary, unidentified miscreants broke into an engineer’s house in Rajajipuram, leaving the residents shaken. The incident occurred on August 1, between 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm, within the jurisdiction of Talkatora police station.
ACP’s Residence in the Crosshairs
The house in question is a rented property, where Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bazaarkhala resides in the upper portion. The ground floor of the house belongs to the complainant, Sudhanshu Gautam, who currently lives in Noida. Gautam had rented out the first floor, leaving the ground floor locked.
CCTV Footage Reveals the Truth
Gautam, who was monitoring the property through CCTV cameras, noticed suspicious activity on his mobile phone. The footage allegedly shows two men forcing open the main door and entering, while two others remained outside to keep watch and conduct surveillance. The intruders broke open the entrance and then forced open doors on both the ground and first floors, searching for valuables.
Police Launch Investigation
An FIR was registered on Monday under Sections 305(a) (house-breaking), 331(3) (theft after house-breaking) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. DCP (West Zone) Kamlesh Dixit said police have collected the CCTV footage and are analysing recordings, including nearby cameras, to identify the four suspects, trace their escape route and determine whether they are part of an organised burglary gang.
A Deliberate Targeting of a Senior Police Officer?
The fact that ACP Bazaarkhala resides in the upper portion of the same premises raises questions about the motives behind the burglary. Was it a deliberate targeting of a senior police officer, or just a random act of thievery? The police investigation will have to unravel the truth behind this daylight heist.
A Growing Concern in Lucknow
The incident has sent shockwaves in the city, with residents expressing concern about the rising incidence of burglaries. The police are urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. As the investigation unfolds, one thing is clear – the people of Lucknow demand justice and safety in their own homes.
A Call to Action
The Talkatora police station is urging anyone with information about the burglary to come forward and assist in the investigation. The police are also appealing to the public to share any CCTV footage or images that may aid in identifying the suspects. Together, we can ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice and that our city remains a safe and secure place to live.
The Investigation Continues
As the police continue to investigate the daylight burglary, one thing is certain – the people of Lucknow will not rest until justice is served. The Talkatora police station is working tirelessly to identify the suspects and bring them to book. The people of Lucknow demand justice, and the police are committed to delivering it.
